'Final Fantasy XV' News: On the Multiplayer Expansion and the Nintendo Switch Version
Almost a full year since its first official release, "Final Fantasy XV" remains to be one of the most loved titles of the gaming community. Game developer Square Enix did a good job at keeping the hype up for the title through crossovers and mobile games.
Recent reports have revealed that the developers are still working hard to flesh out everything "Final Fantasy XV." A multiplayer expansion is expected to roll out next month, and it will add something critical to the plot of "Final Fantasy XV."
The upcoming content is titled "Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades." In it, players will be able to explore the story behind the time gap that was seen in the original release. They will take on the role of a Kingsglaive survivor, and they will be given the task of finding all the puzzles of the story, which will explain what happened to Noctis in Chapter 13.
Furthermore, the "Final Fantasy XV" multiplayer will allow fans to make their own custom characters and fight antagonists with their friends. Gladio, Prompto, and Ignis will join the playable character roster as the campaign progresses. Meanwhile, there will also be a single player content where gamers will be able to hone their respective characters.
Although "Final Fantasy XV" has managed to infiltrate most of the consoles of today, fans are still waiting to have the title on Nintendo Switch. Reports reveal that fans may not have long to wait before a pocket version of the game title lands on Nintendo's flagship.
"We're actually doing very specific technical investigations into what's possible at the moment," "Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata told Eurogamer. "Where we are at the moment - we've completed those tests and have worked out where the ground lies. We're currently in the middle of the discussion and debate about what we should be doing, and how to realize that on the Switch."
For now, fans can focus on "Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades." The DLC will be released on Oct. 31.
