"Final Fantasy XV" News: Square Enix To Reveal Release Date March 2016
Square Enix, the developer and publisher behind the much-anticipated "Final Fantasy XV" finally revealed that they will commit to the game's final release date not later than March 2016. This announcement was made during the PAX 2015, where Square Enix conducted an Active Time Panel.
According to a Tech Times report, the publisher is going to hold a big event for "Final Fantasy XV" in March 2016, where they will reportedly reveal more about the game and when it will be released, finally. The game's director Hajime Tabata also said they will be unveiling more details about some of the characters during the Tokyo Game Show that will run from September 17 to 20.
At the PAX 2015, the publisher fulfilled its promise to share some more of the game's details. It offered up a five-minute trailer of the game's protagonists riding a vehicle during gameplay. According to a report in The Verge, as indicated in the video, the game will feature open-world gaming that involves a lot of driving. Players are given the option to drive a vehicle themselves or to have a "digital chauffeur" drive the vehicle for you. As players are driving, they can choose from among four camera modes – first-person view, joyride view, tail view (which is zoomed out) or scenic view (which allows players to look at the surroundings while driving).

The game will also be featuring four characters, who seem to part of a four-member Japanese boy band. Not much is known yet about each of the characters. At the Tokyo Game Show, Square will be talking about two of the four characters, Luna and Regis.
The Tech Times report said that the game will be following the story of Noctis, who is next in line to the throne of the kingdom of Lucis. He is seen traveling to meet the woman he is supposed to marry so as to forge peace between his kingdom and an enemy state. This is all a farce which eventually leads to the death of his fiancée and his father, when their kingdom was attacked.
Square Enix also announced that they will launch "Final Fantasy XV" globally, in all regions, rather than launching separately for different regions. This will be the first time that they will be doing this for a major entry in the "Final Fantasy" series.
