'Final Fantasy XV' Release Date PS4, Xbox One, PC News: To Launch Worldwide Simultaneously in 2016
After what seemed like a very long wait, updates on "Final Fantasy XV" have finally reached patient fans. "Final Fantasy XV" Direector Hajime Tabata has confirmed that the action role-playing video game developed and published by Square Enix will not be released in 2015, instead, it will be released before 2017. He also confirmed that it will have a worldwide simultaneous release.
The upcoming release of the "Final Fantasy XV" game series was first announced in 2006. Since then, fans have been wondering when they can possibly play the game. Tabata reassured the fans that they have already set down the release date.
"Certainly, one thing I would like to say to them to reassure them, is that we've set down the release date, we know when it is, and we've got a complete road map lined up, right up to launch, and we're proceeding along that as planned. We can certainly say to people: it's not going to be 2017. It's going to be before that," Tabata told GameSpot.
According to MNR Daily, the main reason for the delay was revealed during the 2015 Gamescom and it was due to the game being heavily debugged and localized so that a simultaneous launch can take place throughout various countries. It was also reported that the game was delayed due to translating Japanese to English dubs which will most likely mean that Square Enix will launch in Japan first before they hit worldwide in several gaming stores and retailing websites.
And since this is the first time for the company to assemble together a stand-alone "Final Fantasy" game and launch simultaneously worldwide, Tabata revealed that they had to re-shuffle their entire internal structure and make certain that they are fully prepared for the global launch.
"Final Fantasy XV" will have a worldwide simultaneous launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
