''Final Fantasy XV' update: Players will be able to ride Chocobos

The upcoming action role-playing video game "Final Fantasy XV" is still to arrive next year but fans are already excited with what developer Square Enix has in store for them in the fifteenth installment of the game. And the latest updates about it are definitely not disappointing fans. According to Gameranx, "Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata spoke with Japanese video game magazine Famitsu. Through a translated piece by Siliconera, fans were able to go through the details of the interview.

One notable update concerns the capability of the players to ride on a Chocobo. They will be able to make it walk or sprint, as well as jump to areas that characters would originally not be able to access through without the help of the bird-like creature. But Tabata revealed that the player will not be able to fight while riding a Choboco. But they can engage it by feeding it with various vegetables, which in turn can give players a morale boost depending on the kind of food they give it. And if there ever is a battle ahead, the Chocobo will either avoid the conflict or just let the battle happen and then run away.

Furthermore, there will also be black Chocobos which are deemed as the "wild" ones. There is no information yet on whether the player can ride on it or not. They will also not be available for rent but can be captured through battle, although, this has not really been decided yet. As stated in PC Mag, Chocobos in the game have been long known to be friendly to the gamers. They are also very helpful during combat missions. That is why giving access to the creature is really something that old-time gamers of the series appreciate big time.
