Fiorentina are coming from Group I where they finished second in the table only behind FC Basel.
In that group, those two squads were clearly the favourites to move on and they showed why they deserve to be in the spots they're on at the moment – with Fiorentina only losing by three points off Basel.
Fiorentina also showed their scoring prowess in the group stages as they forced 11 goals in the competition so far – they will surely hope that they can continue when they go up against Tottenham.
On the other side, Tottenham were the winners of Group J when they were grouped alongside Anderlecht, AS Monaco and Qarabag.
This was one of the more interesting groups as three teams were expected to do well and with only two spots moving on, it was a heated showdown.
However, for Spurs, it was clear that they were a level above their opponents. In six total games, they only lost once and were able to dominate as they scored 12 total goals in the contest – the only team in double figures in scoring in the group.
Now they are hoping that they can continue the pace as they are starting off this elimination round away from home. Tottenham will want a good result and at least score a goal so they have the confidence when it's their turn as hosts later on in the battle.
