'Fire Emblem Heroes' Update on Inherit Skills, Others to Arrive This April
Intelligent Systems has recently announced that a huge update will take place for its tactical role-playing game, "Fire Emblem Heroes," this April.
According to Siliconera, the upgrade will include new rules for combat, as well as changes in the Inherit Skill and in Hero Merit. Since the game was first released last month, the Japanese developer has been trying to keep it updated with new events and heroes. The one scheduled this April will be its biggest update yet. There are going to be two new rules for battle in "Fire Emblem Heroes" – one for defense and another for reinforcements.
Some adjustments are also going to affect arena scores and matchmaking. When matching pairs, four values will now be reportedly considered. Instead of using just the total base stats, the process now includes the values for the star rating and character levels, the equipped skills, the total base stats after removing all skills, and the number of bonuses gained by using Merge Allies. This will affect a player's arena scores regardless of the difficulty level.
A new, secret item will also be released that will expand a hero's ability.
Meanwhile, heroes will now get to earn Hero Merit when they join battles. Once accumulated, it can be used to obtain Hero Feathers.
The Inherit Skill, on the other hand, will allow a hero to receive all the skills from the disposed comrade during a duplicate merging. According to Polygon, this is the most problematic part of the April update, as players would have liked more restrictions on the system.
"The essential complaint is that players who spent hours restarting their games to get the highest quality heroes for free now have the immediate advantage in the PvP arena mode. Threads about how unfair and busted this update makes the game are scattered across popular Fire Emblem forums, with players lamenting the changes," the website writes.
