'Fires Of Heaven' Episode On Season 2 Of 'Empire' Will Have Everybody Fighting To Control Empire

In the next episode of "Empire" titled 'Fires of Heaven,' it's an all-out bid by Lucious' family members to take control of Empire. Cookie Lyon and Anika go behind Lucious' back and try to impress guest star Pitbull while Lucious himself gets Young Ma to try to ink a deal with Empire.

The official synopsis of 'Fires of Heaven' is as follows: "Cookie and Anika secretly work together behind Lucious' back to pull off a surprise performance that catches the eye of Pitbull. Meanwhile Lucious tracks down Frank Gathers' daughter, Young Ma, to try to convince her to sign with him at Empire, while Hakeem is hard at work on his girl group, Menage a Trois. Also, Andre and Rhonda hope their baby-on-the-way will be the key that unlocks Lucious' cold heart and opens the door for Andre to return to the Empire fold."

In this episode, suitably titled "Fires of Heaven" the surprise is that Cookie and Anika manage to set aside their differences and come up with a plan to impress Pitbull who is starring as himself. Will this lead to many Pitbull appearances and can fans have him on for Season 2? That remains to be seen.

Lucious Lyon is free for the time being. He was able to post bail by enlisting the services of a new attorney, Thirsty Rawlings, who will be played by Andre Royo. He is unaware of Cookie and Anika's plan. He thinks he will strike a gold mine if he gets Young Ma, Frank Gathers' daughter, to sign on as an Empire artist so he is busy tracking her down.

Hakeem does not want go back to Empire and wants to work with Cookie and create a new label with his all-girl pop group, Ménage a Trois. He is hoping it will become popular and also help grow the company. But without Valentina (Becky G), this is difficult. Cookie might help Hakeem with this plan as she will not just bank on the Pitbull plan.

Will Lucious get Andre back in Empire now that he and Rhonda are having a baby? And will Andre confess to Lucious that it was Rhonda who accidentally killed the key witness in his murder case?

Lucious' main legal enemy, Prosecutor Roxanne Ford (Tyra Ferrell) will try to put Lucious back in jail and will ask Cookie for help. Will Cookie help her? On top of all this drama is the FBI raid on Empire.

All these questions will be answered if viewers tune in to 'Fires of Heaven', Season 2's next episode, which airs on Fox tonight, Oct. 7, at 9 p.m. EDT.
