'Five Nights at Freddy's' movie will follow game storyline, teasers keep coming
Who would've ever thought that the indie point-and-click survival horror game "Five Nights at Freddy's" will be turned into a movie? Although, it's not really that surprising since the game undeniably owns a good game storyline from the first to the latest version.
The stories in all four FNAF games connect to one another and as a whole, create a hair-rising and creepy story that will really keep children away from mascots for some time. According to Latin Post, the movie, which has the same title as the game, has already been confirmed by Warner Bros. But at this point, details about the film are still kept under wraps. Essential details like the plot, cast members and release date are yet to be announced.
The only known detail is the assigned director Gil Kenan, who has been treating fans with some sneak peeks and spoilers from time to time. He has been posting in his social media account photos related to the movie and even answers the tweets of fans on Twitter. He also revealed that he will refrain from overusing CGI in the film, which proves to be true as he has been teasing photos of real animatronics.
Kenan is also very aware of the massive cult following of the game and is making sure he will not disappoint the fans. As stated in Realty Today, the "Monster House" director will stay loyal to the FNAF games. He said that he himself is a big fan of the game and finds the storyline of game developer Scott Cawthon amazing. "Scott is one hell of a world builder," tweets Kenan. Cawthon is said to take part in the film as well with Movie Pilot hinting that he will voice the Phone Guy. All the elements that made the game famous will also be present in the movie.
While waiting for the live-action game, fans can catch more of "Five Nights at Freddy's" in their fourth installment of the game on PC and mobile devices.
