'Five Nights At Freddy's' News: Creator Opens Up About 'FNaF World' Release Date, New Features
In a New Year's Day blog post on the Steam Community website, "Five Nights At Freddy's" creator Scott Cawthon addressed "FNaF World" release date rumors and shed some light on fans' expectations that the spin-off game to the "Five Nights At Freddy's" franchise was to be released at the very beginning of the year.
"So apparently some people were expecting FNaF World to drop at midnight last night," Cawthon wrote in the blog post, explaining that that was not what he meant when he said that the game would launch in 2016.
"Although if the game had been ready I think that would have been pretty cool," the "Five Nights at Freddy's" designer added.
Implying that "FNaF World" may not be released anytime in the near future, Cawthon wrote, "In reality though, I'm still busy adding more content to the game."
"FNaF" fans may be disappointed about having to wait some more for "FNaF World," but the good news is that, according to Cawthon, the game he is currently developing has become bigger than he originally planned. "I'm busy adding power-ups and shops, as well as a few different ways to beat the game," he explained.
The "Five Nights at Freddy's" designer also teased that he is currently creating secret bosses for "FNaF World." Cawthon also revealed that because he is planning on "FNaF World" being the last game in the "Five Nights at Freddy's" franchise, he is intent on creating a game that will offer "a really great experience."
Cawthon ended the post by saying that he is not ready to announce a specific release date for "Five Nights at Freddy's World" just yet, but that fans of the franchise should stay tuned.
"Five Nights at Freddy's," which is developed and designed by Cawthon, is a series of horror survival games that pits the player against a group of homicidal animatronic characters.
