Flacco at McDonald's: Joe Flacco Celebrates $120M Deal With Baltimore Ravens With McNuggets
Joe Flacco celebrated at McDonald's with Chicken McNuggets after signing a contract to make him the highest paid player in NFL history.
Flacco put pen to paper to sign his record $120 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens, before reportedly going to a McDonald's drive thro in Aberdeen and ordering himself a 10-piece McNugget meal, with fries and an unsweetened iced tea for $6.99.
A self-confessed "crazy fan" of the Ravens, Sherry Norman, reportedly recognized Flacco at the drive thro and snapped a quick picture of him picking up his order, according to ESPN.
The drive thro was reportedly on the way back to Flacco's New Jersey home from his signing.
"I kept saying to the people I work with, 'Doesn't that look like Joe Flacco?,' " Norman said. "And then he turned towards the window and it was him."
Norman explained that she asked Flacco if he was indeed the quarterback who just signed the deal and after asking to take a picture, the Ravens star obliged.
Flacco signed the record breaking deal after taking the Ravens to the Super Bowl and defeating the San Francisco 49ers in New Orleans.
Flacco of course is not the first sports player to sign a massive multi-million dollar deal only to rush to get cheap fast food from McDonald's. Jeff Van Gundy did the same after he signed a two-year extension in 1996 to be the head coach of the New York Knicks.
Phil Mickelson also famously celebrated with fast food when he ordered Krispy Kreme donuts in Georgia after winning the Masters.
