Tarek El Moussa Shares Cancer Battle Through Instagram
"Flip or Flop" real-estate celebrity Tarek El Moussa recently took to Instagram to share with the world the hardship he went through in his bout with testicular cancer while also undergoing treatment for thyroid cancer.
The 35-year-old "Flip or Flop" star shared a photo of himself wearing the effects of cancer treatment for both thyroid and testicular cancer, as reported by Page Six. The treatment had left Tarek El Moussa looking gaunt and sickly, with his shirt and watch hanging loosely from his thin body. "I thought I would share this with everyone ... to truly understand how absolutely sick I was ... look at this photo and look at my eyes, I was a skeleton," El Moussa shared in the caption on his Instagram post.
El Moussa had mostly kept his battle with testicular cancer in hiding, and understandably not wanting to invite questions on the treatment he undergoes or the effect this could have on his ability to have children. With regard to his thyroid cancer, on the other hand, he was much more open about, according to AOL.

As much as he would want to keep his thyroid cancer a secret as well, the circumstances are different such that he had little choice on the matter. As it turned out, it was an HGTV viewer who actually noticed the lump on Tarek El Moussa's neck that prompted him to seek an initial diagnosis that led to the discovery of his thyroid cancer. There's little he can do to hide the fact after the fans raised their concerns, as reported by Today.
"This took a major toll on my physical and mental health. I know many of my fans have had similar struggles and can relate. The last 3 years were the hardest of my life, I look back and still wonder how I survived," Tarek continued on his Instagram post.
