Footage Leaked From 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' Filming Shows Huge Explosion (VIDEO)

A leaked footage from a filming sequence of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" features a massive explosion occurring in nighttime traffic.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" is currently in the middle of filming in New York, and a video has been leaked showing a controlled explosion that destroys cars in the middle of freeway traffic.

The overnight filming shows what appears to be a vehicle chase scene shot by a fan from a bridge above the 33 Kensington Expressway in Buffalo, New York. An explosion occurs in the outbound lane, as cars and motorcycles headed for the 198 Expressway are propelled skyward in a burst of flames, while other vehicles make their escape away from the blast.

The explosion featured the look of a Michael Bay-inspired flare that made the first film popular with audiences.

The upcoming film, dubbed "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Half Shell," looks to be bringing the same level of action as the first installment which topped the box office at over $450 million last summer.

Last month, one of the movie's scenes was filmed at the Madison Square Garden featuring NBA from the L.A. Clippers, Austin Rivers, Matt Barnes, Spencer Hawes, and DeAndre Jordan. The Turtles, Michaelangelo, Donatelo, Raphael, and Leonardo make their way to the MSG through a subway to catch a game, and being unable to blend in with the rest of the crowd, distract the players from making an important shot.

"Arrow" actor, Stephen Amell has also been spotted wearing a hockey mask and stick in his portrayal as Casey Jones, the vigilante who sides with the Turtles and helps them in their fight against Shredder (Brian Tee).

The sequel is expected in theaters on June 3, 2016 and will star Megan Fox, reprising her role as reporter April O'Neill, Will Arnett as Vern Fenwick, William Fichtner as Eric Sacks, Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman, and Oscar winner, Laura Linney in as as yet unannounced role.
