'For Honor' Beta News: Pre-load Now Available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One; Twitch Streaming to Happen Before Launch
"For Honor" Beta will start in the next couple of days and Ubisoft just announced that players can now pre-load their game on their personal computer (PC), PlayStation 4 (PS4) or Xbox One.
The beta play of "For Honor" begins on Feb. 9 and will end on Feb. 12. Prior to the session, it was reported that the open beta play would add the new Elimination mode, which allows four players to team up and battle against another group of four. There would be no respawns available and the team could win the battle through the best-of-five rule.
Furthermore, before the open beta started, several famous warriors and game streamers showed their skills on the "For Honor's" Twitch channel. They played the War of Factions and demonstrated how the Elimination mode is played. The online event started on Feb. 7.
The other modes in the open beta session have already been featured in the game's previous event. These include Brawl, Duel and Dominion. Also, gamers can still continue playing the War of Factions, which gives them the opportunity to experience victory with their chosen army. There are game rewards up for grabs before the game releases on Feb. 14.
"For Honor" is greatly anticipated due to the action-packed gameplay it promises. Creative Director Jason VandenBerghe previously told IGN that players can instantly meet their demise in the game with one wrong move.
"In some ways for me the story begins with Bushido Blade," he explained to the publication, adding, "It was a very hard, very ruthless sort of game. It had no time for your weakness, but it captured the way you feel when you're facing an opponent, that sense of danger, like, 'Oh, god, one miss and I'm in trouble.'"
A representative from the publication was able to play the game at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 (E3 2015) and compared "For Honor's" gameplay to that of "Bushido Blade," which came as a good news for the players of PlayStation classic.
