'For Honor' Gameplay News: Season 4 Arrives With Two New Heroes and 4v4 Tribute Mode

Ubisoft has released more details on the contents of the upcoming season 4 update to their hit hack-and-slash fighting game "For Honor."

The developer confirmed that "For Honor's" season 4 will be titled "Order and Havoc," and like the previous ones released, this installment will arrive with two new heroes as well as an all-new game mode and several game maps.

In Ubisoft's weekly update that was released last Friday, the developer did not mention much about the new heroes, the Aramusha and Shaman. However, Gamereactor reported they were sent some details about the upcoming contents.

The Samurai hybrid heroes, the Aramusha, sport dual katanas where both blades can be used for offensive and defensive moves. One of the heroes' highlighted skills is their ability to carefully navigate the battlefield where they are able to attack and defend at a faster rate. They also watch closely for openings and mistakes made by the opponent which they can use to defeat them.

Meanwhile, the Shaman are Viking assassins who use a hatchet and a dagger "with quick and deadly precision." Unlike the Aramusha, the Shaman have a stronger sense in performing offensive attacks and will lunge at their opponents with no mercy. They also become stronger and more motivated when they see blood from their enemies on the battlefield.

On the other hand, Tribute is the newest game mode to be introduced in "For Honor" season 4. It is played in a 4v4 format in a best-of-three match. "Bringing them back to your teams sanctuaries will provide you with one of three buffs, and edge you closer to claiming victory," Ubisoft explained.

The developer added that if a team was able to hold on to all three buffs for a certain period of time, they will be rewarded with "the spoils of war." Tribute mode goes live as soon as season 4 is available.

Season 4 also brings two new maps called Market Town and The Gauntlet, which will be available for free to all "For Honor" players as soon as "Order and Havoc" launches.

"Order and Havoc" will be released on Tuesday, Nov. 14, for those who have purchased the game's Season Pass. Meanwhile, players without the paid access can still have the new heroes by spending 15,000 steel on each hero starting Nov. 21.

"For Honor" is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
