Former Hot Boy Rapper Suggests Drugs Could Be Influencing Lil Wayne

Turk, a New Orleans rapper who was once a part of the rap group "Hot Boys" with rapper Lil Wayne, recently indicated that drugs may be affecting the Young Money Records CEO.

Turk, the rapper born Tab Virgil, Jr. was asked to give some insight into rapper Dwayne's Carter's most recent public issues with seizures. Although Lil Wayne has let fans know that he was epileptic, Turk let it be known that the rapper has changed from the teenager that he once knew.

"The only thing I can say on that situation is when you under the influence of anything that's altering your mind, anything out loud will come out your mouth. ... It's those drugs that's overpowering you, it's those spirits overpowering you," Turk allegedly said, according to SOHH.com. "Wayne (is) like a little brother to me and I know that's not Wayne. When I see certain pictures of him, I know that's not Wayne."

Although Turk touched on the possibility of Lil Wayne having an issue with drugs, he also made it clear that he was not as close to the famous rapper as he once was, thus he wasn't entirely aware of his current situation, and was not making a firm claim that drugs were in fact an issue.

"When I see Wayne, I see the Lil Wayne when we used to be in the Holiday Inn doing things together, battling in the studio -- that's the Wayne I see," Turk said, according to SOHH.com. "... I'd rather not talk about the Wayne that's happening today because I don't know that Wayne. I can't speak on that Wayne. I was gone the whole time."

Last year Turk was released from prison where he was forced to serve a nine year sentence stemming from an attempted murder and possession of a firearm. As soon as the rapper was released from prison, he decided to spend some time in church.

"You know, when you going through them transitions, and you been in the pen or anything that's humbling, you gonna seek and get low – and that's what happened. You know, I've always believed in God; that ain't something that just happened," Turk told AllHipHop.com last year. "I just got closer to Him, and I know I can't do nothing without Him 'cause I know how good He's been in my life. I said the first thing I'm gonna do is go to church."

Still, the rapper insisted that church constitutes as more than just a building.

"Church isn't just the building, though. Church is in your heart. It's in saying my prayers, and reading my Word every morning I wake up, and me and my girl, we pray together, ya know," he revealed to AllHipHop.com. "They say a family that prays together stays together."
