'Forza 7 Motorsport' Release Date: 'The Fast and the Furious 8' DLC Announced
"Forza Motorsport 7" is bringing the supercars from "The Fast and the Furious 8" to the game via the newly unveiled "The Fate of the Furious" downloadable content (DLC).
The expansion adds 10 cars from the eighth installment in the long-running franchise and should provide enough fuel and muscle for players to emulate their heroes in the movie.
First on the list is the 1966 Chevrolet Corvette, which should be the go-to for "Forza Motorsport 7" players who want to be "straightening out any set of curves you may encounter."
"The Fate of the Furious" DLC will also feature the 1968 Dodge Charger used by Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) to do some impressive ice car racing in the film.
Two more memorable vehicles Toretto also rocked in the film are the 2018 Dodge Demon and the 1951 Chevrolet Fleetline Special and both are coming to "Forza Motorsport 7."
The former is ultra-fast and can raze quarter-mile in less than 10 seconds. As for the latter, which is deemed "the slowest car in Havana," Toretto made some epic modifications to transform it into a beast.
Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) also drove a lot of head-turning supercars in the film. One of them is the British green-coated 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE R Coupe, which is included in the "Forza Motorsport 7" DLC.
Not only is this a thing of beauty but a force to be reckoned with in the race tracks, thanks to its 550 horsepower provided by the super-charged V8 under the hood.
Also coming to "Forza Motorsport 7" via "The Fate of the Furious" DLC is the 1971 Plymouth GTX, which promises an "ominous and powerful presence" in the field.
The 2016 Subaru WRX STI and the 2013 Subaru BRZ the 2015 Mercedes-AMG GT S driven in the film by Little Nobody (Scott Eastwood) will also be part of the DLC.
The 2015 Mercedes-AMG GT S that Tej Parker (Ludacris) got the pleasure to get behind the wheel of and the 2014 Local Motors Rally Fighter that got Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) through the ice lake are also included.
Set for release along with the game on Oct. 3, "The Fate of the Furious" DLC will be available for $10. It will be given for free to those who purchase the Ultimate or Deluxe editions of "Forza Motorsport 7" with the owners of the former getting it early on Sept. 29.
