Frankenstein Rabbit Video Goes Viral; Rabbit May Be Suffering From Rare Cancer (VIDEO, PHOTO)
A video of a so-called "Frankenstein rabbit" has gone viral on the Internet after a Minnesota college student posted the video online.
The student, Gunnar Boettcher, 20, from Gustavus Adolphus College, posted the video labeling the rabbit "Frankenstein" due to growths on its face that appear to be horns.
The video and images of the unique looking rabbit has become an Internet viral sensation with hundreds of thousands sharing the video with friends across the globe.

Boettcher, 20, has said that he was working in his father's Mankato garage when he first spotted the strange looking rabbit. He has described that it bears growths on its head that make it appear to have a series of horns.
The student and his brother, Zander, quickly captured the rabbit on video, and Boettcher can be heard on the video narrating the footage similar to the way popular Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin used to do.
The student has said, "We started filming just for us, just to be funny. Then we decided to put it on Facebook and it got a lot of views. I used to watch Steve Irwin when I was little. I was just being a goof, just for me and my brother's entertainment."
The video quickly went viral on Facebook as people shared it around, and it also later was posted up on Reddit, helping it to gather more than a quarter of a million views as well as 2,000 comments.
Some called for the student to capture the rabbit and try and get it medical attention as it appeared to have some serious medical problem. However, Boettcher has disagreed with them:
"It's a great idea to try to help him and make him healthy again, but it's a little ridiculous to blame me for not helping the rabbit and taking him to the vet when it's a wild rabbit. It's turning into a thing on animal rights. People are saying I'm mean for making it humorous, but it was just supposed to be something fun between me and my brother."
The student believes, from his research, that the rabbit may be suffering from a type of cancer caused by a contagious virus.
