'Fresh Off the Boat' Season 3 Episode 19: Louis Follows Grandma Jenny Around
The upcoming episode of "Fresh Off the Boat" season 3 will see Louis (Randall Park) worrying about his mother-in-law, only to discover that she needs space from him.
The synopsis of the next episode, which is titled "Driving Miss Jenny," states that Louis will become concerned that Grandma Jenny's (Lucille Soong) new motorized wheelchair is allowing her to go wherever she may please. As a result, Louis will decide to keep a watchful eye on her. This does not work out for him, though, and he will discover that Grandma does not want him following her everywhere she goes.
Elsewhere, Jessica (Constance Wu) will be worried about Emery (Forrest Wheeler) hoarding a lot of things, suspecting that sentiment may have something to do with it. Finally, Eddie (Hudson Yang) will attempt to weasel his way for a part in Evan's (Ian Chen) successful venture.
Meanwhile, here is a brief recap of the previous episode, titled "Time to Get Ill."
The episode saw a first in the series when Jessica found herself sick, and even though she did not want to admit it at first, she eventually ended up in bed. The men of the family, of course, took this as an opportunity to let loose and do something that Jessica would normally not approve of: watch wrestling on pay-per-view. However, Jessica quickly healed and went to the wrestling match with Honey (Chelsey Crisp), enjoying her time to herself in the process. In the end, Jessica found out about what the boys did and vice versa.
Writer Eric Ziobrowski spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the episode and the thought process that went into writing it.
"One of the great things about writing for Fresh Off the Boat is how story ideas can come from so many different places," Ziobrowski wrote. "In this case, the central plot came from our own character's unique personality."
"Fresh Off the Boat" season 3 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
