'From Not to Hot' Star Mama June Shannon Wakes Up to Excruciating Pain, Is Rushed to the Hospital

The "Mama June: From Not to Hot" finale on Friday did not end as expected as Mama June Shannon ended up in the hospital. The final episode of the WeTV reality miniseries found Mama June stuck in a hospital bed.

"From Not to Hot" follows Mama June's weight-loss journey, and it has not been as smooth sailing as when it first started. The night before the series finale, the reality TV star wore a "revenge dress" and attended her ex's wedding. Although burning all of her fat clothes symbolized that Mama June had succeeded in her weight-loss journey, she had to pay the price the following morning when she woke up in pain.

"Pumpkin, Alana, come here! My stomach, like I can't even get up!" she yelled on Friday's finale. She told her daughters that she might have an internal problem and that she needed a CAT scan. She said she was going to pass out so her daughters and bodyguard called for an ambulance and took her to the emergency room.

After being rushed to the hospital, the doctors checked on her and feared that something bad might have happened to Mama June internally as a result of her efforts to lose weight. The doctor said Mama June might have developed a blood clot or a leak in her gastric sleeve after undergoing weight-loss surgery that previously made her lose 300 pounds.

The "From Not to Hot" finale saw Mama June stuck in a hospital bed with wailing sirens in the background. The final scene teased what's ahead of the follow-up episode. As Mama June waits for updates from her doctor, the doctor enters the room and says, "June we have your test results, but they're not what we thought."

The follow-up episode airs on Friday, April 14 at 9 p.m. EDT on WeTV.
