'Frozen 2' Movie News: Kristen Bell Neither Confirms nor Denies Anna Having Special Powers in Sequel
There is no denying that "Frozen 2" is one of the most anticipated films from Disney. However, with people behind its production tightlipped about the details of the movie, those eagerly awaiting its release can only be content with the numerous unconfirmed reports that surround it. Among the many rumors associated with the Disney sequel is that Anna will have superpowers, too. However, in an interview with ComingSoon.Net, Kristen Bell, the actress who lends her voice to the character, neither confirmed nor denied this speculation.
"I feel particularly lucky that it's going to have an extra life, because when I can be Princess Anna to little kids, it feels really good. I can call friends or nieces or nephews or auction winners as Princess Anna and it's really special. It feels like a super power," Bell said when she was asked about "Frozen 2" and the original "Frozen" holiday special.
Apart from revealing that the script for "Frozen 2" is almost completed and that the recording would soon start, Bell left the fans hanging once more by limiting the information she released. With this, fans go back to entertaining speculations about the movie.
An earlier unconfirmed piece of news revealed that Anna would become evil in "Frozen 2," hence, she will be endowed with superpowers that will counter that of her sister's, Elsa, freezing abilities. Allegedly, Anna will have the power of fire.
According to Digital Spy, the sequel will introduce a more carefree and fun-loving Elsa after all the drama in her life in the first movie. Also, allegedly, the movie will also reveal that Anna and Elsa are not really biological sisters, bolstering the earlier rumor that Elsa is adopted and her real sister is Rapunzel. Additionally, some speculdate that the movie will also feature Olaf having a love interest.
As of this writing, though, there's no official word from Disney yet as to when the movie will be released. Even the alleged plot of "Frozen 2" has to be taken with a grain of salt at this point in time. However, one thing is for sure: Disney aims at delivering a good movie that will not only be at par with the original "Frozen," but, hopefully, will surpass it, blockbuster and quality-wise.
"The story is great... It took them a while because they wanted to figure out what story they needed to tell and what would be important and engaging and I think they found it," said Bell.
