'Frozen 2' Movie Rumor: Elsa to Come out as a Lesbian?
While it is true that, for the most part, Elsa is portrayed as a character who imposes self-isolation in "Frozen," rumor has it that she will be a totally different Ice Queen in the upcoming sequel of the movie.
Among the many changes that are said that will happen to the character, one of the mind-blowing changes that will reportedly happen to the character is that she will embrace her true sexuality, and that is her being a lesbian.
According to Movie Pilot, there is a possibility that Elsa will be the first ever Disney princess to belong to the LGBT community. The entertainment blog site opined that a certain portion of the movie's success can be attributed to the gay and lesbian segment of the movie viewing community.
However, the same article also backpedaled on its allusion, pointing out that Disney may not be ready for the backlash it will experience from non-LGBT fans of the movie, and the studio is not willing to take that risk.
Apart from Elsa supposedly becoming a full-blown lesbian in the sequel, there are also speculations that magical powers will not only be limited to her. Reportedly, the sequel will also give Anna her special powers that will counter that of her sister's: the power of fire. With these powers, it has also been reported that the younger princess will turn evil in the sequel.
A rumored interesting sub-plot that will be woven into the story of "Frozen 2" is Olaf finally getting a love life. However, it is not certain whether his love interest will be a snow creature like him or into the form of a human.
With the phenomenal success of "Frozen," it is but inevitable for fans to voice out what they want to happen in its sequel. Some of the opinions make sense, others are simply out of this world and floated as unconfirmed pieces of information.
As Disney is tightlipped about the sequel, fans can only wait and see if the above-mentioned speculations have a tinge of truth in them.
"Frozen 2" is believed to be released in 2018.
