'Frozen 2' Rumors and News: Idina Menzel Hints that Sequel is in Development

Since "Frozen: became the highest-grossing animated film of all time, fans have been waiting for any news of a follow-up to the movie which will continue the story of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf. In addition to the film, Disney continues to profit from its merchandising and home video sales, and the movie is also about to continue in a short film called "Frozen Fever."

Recently, Idina Menzel, the voice behind Elsa, has hinted that there is indeed a sequel in the works to the 2013 hit. While talking to The Telegraph, the Broadway star was asked if she could say anything about three things: the upcoming "Frozen" short film, the rumors of a film sequel, and the rumors about a stage adaptation.

"They're all the works," said Menzel. The interviewer then asked if she was involved in all three.

"Not the stage show," she said, "I don't know what will happen with that, but the movie hopefully. We'll see. I'm just going along for the ride."

Menzel also gave some advice on how to tackle the very memorable but very difficult to sing hit single, "Let it Go." The song won an Academy Award for Best Original Song and spawned hundreds of covers on Youtube.

"I can't give tips on how to sing 'Let it Go' because I can barely sing it sometimes," she admitted. "It's really hard. I guess my advice is everyone that likes to sing it should sing it out loud and proud and karaoke it out. Sing it in the shower, sing it in the car, and don't worry about hitting the high notes. I'm the only one who has to worry if people are gonna criticize me."

Disney has yet to comment on the news of a "Frozen" sequel.
