In a recent interview, "Frozen" cast member Kristen Bell revealed that the sequel for the hit animated film is "still being written" and explained why she thinks Disney is not in a rush to produce the next part of the story.

"Frozen" is regarded as one of the biggest animated films in the previous years that not following it up with a sequel is practically out of the question. However, almost four years since the first movie's release, Disney and other producers have been relatively quiet about it.

In an interview with Collider last week, Bell shared that Disney is taking the needed time to make sure the movie is done right. She also revealed that they have not started any recording yet.

It can be recalled that earlier in 2016, Bell told the same publication that they were about to start recording some parts of the movie which naturally stirred excitement among fans of all ages. However, in October 2016, Bell corrected herself in another Collider interview, saying they have not really started anything yet for the sequel.

"I thought we were about to start recording, but I was mistaken. So, we haven't begun yet. They're putting the finishing touches on the script," she further explained in the October 2016 interview.

In her latest talk with Collider, Bell reiterated Walt Disney's stance about making a sequel. She explained that while Disney Pixar makes sequels for animated films, Walt Disney does not traditionally make a movie series for the theaters. Follow up stories from Walt Disney are made available through home entertainment copies.

She further explained, "It was a very big decision for them to do. They need the movie to be right, they don't just release things. They wait until it's right, until is captivating and it's relevant. ... They want it to feel correct." Bell added, "They waited until an idea was pitched and they felt that story needed to be told."

Bell hints that the "Frozen 2" plot would be a second chapter of Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Anna's story that will click to the viewers just like the first movie did.

In the same interview, Bell also confirmed that Disney has informed her that recording for "Frozen 2" will kick off before this year ends. The "CHIPS" actress also teased that though Disney want to remain mysterious about the plot, she was lucky enough to know "a little bit" about the upcoming movie.
