'Frozen 2' rumored release date, cast news & plot update: Story will focus on the tight bond of Elsa and Anna

Some things are just so hard to let go and one of those is the "Frozen" movie. After a very successful animated film in 2013, Queen Elsa and Princess Anna is coming back to the big screen for a sequel which has been confirmed by Disney earlier this year. No doubt that fans, adults and children alike, are excited with what directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee will be serving to the table for them this time.

"Frozen 2" is still a long way and details about the movie are still vague and thin but that's not going to stop fans from finding out what they can. According to Movie News Guide, the voices behind Elsa and Anna, Idina Menzel and Kristin Bell, are going to reprise their roles in the sequel. The source also stated that the possible release date of the animated sequel will be most likely in 2018, probably just enough time for Buck and Lee to get the pieces together.

In a recent interview with MTV News, Buck revealed that they now have an "overall story in place" and are currently in the "early stages of development."

"We're just starting, Jen [Lee] and I are just getting back into the story room together and throwing ideas around. We have an overall idea, a concept, which I think is a very strong one. I'm very excited about doing it," Buck told MTV News.

The "Tarzan" director also stated that the sequel will center on the two powerful female characters and will feature issues that are currently being experienced by both the young and old men and women. And since "Frozen" greatly captured the hearts of many children, the team is aiming to come up with a movie that will still deliver the right message and bring lessons to the young viewers.

Realty Today reported that upcoming movie is going to put a lot of the spotlight on the sisters and their tight bond. They will also feature a different side of Elsa and show more of Anna's pursuits in life. To learn more, fans will have to stay tuned for updates.
