"Galaxy Gifts" For Buyers of Samsung's Newest Flagships

Almost every time Samsung launches new devices, the company always tries to rake in more customers and buyers by offering attractive promotional deals that come bundled with their new devices. Early this year, deals that came in the form of "Galaxy Gifts" were made available to Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge buyers.

This time around, "Galaxy Gifts" are being offered to consumers who are buying Samsung's newest flagships, the Galaxy Note 5 and the S6 Edge Plus. According to a report in Tech Times, these gifts usually come in the form of free subscription to services, paid content as well as recommended apps that are useful for their new devices.

According to the report, these promotional offers entail a lot of investment on the part of Samsung. For example, when the S5 was launched in April 2014, the free stuff that came with the new device was worth close to $575. In April this year, close to 22 apps and what were considered to be premium services such as magazine subscriptions and productivity tools were on offer for those who were buying the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge.
