Galaxy Nexus Android 4.2.1, JellyBean Update to Roll Out in Canada
The Galaxy Nexus Android 4.2.1, JellyBean update will begin rolling out in Canada soon.
MobileSyrup is reporting that Galaxy Nexus owners will finally be able to update to one of the latest builds of the software.
Many users in the nation were still using Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich. With JellyBean, Galaxy Nexus owners will now have access to improved features and additional applications.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 Android 4.1, JellyBean update also recently rolled out to Sprint customers.
The software brings some enhancements and additions to the device including improvements to the notifications, and it will also bring Google Now to the tablet.
The update is currently available OTA (over-the-air), and the notification for it will be pushed automatically to owners of the tablet in the next few weeks. Once the update is downloaded, users will be prompted to install it, and the tablet will be disabled during the process.
The Galaxy S3 Android 4.1, JellyBean update is now available for Verizon customers.
This official version is slightly different from the ROM that was leaked during the first few weeks of February. It is 150MB in size and is rolling out OTA (over-the-air).
The update brings some changes to the Galaxy S3, including a fix on the Keyboard Predictive Text along with the ability to take a picture during a phone call. Phone notifications shown on the lock screen can also be refreshed with the adder ticker thanks to the update, and tweaks have been added to enhance Bluetooth and email syncing performance.
Android 4.1, JellyBean was introduced at last year's Google I/O and debuted on the Google Nexus 7 tablet. Android 5.0, Key Lime Pie is expected to be introduced at this year's event.
