Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Update Rolling Out for Sprint Model

The Galaxy Nexus Android 4.3 update has begun rolling out for the Sprint model.

This is the second major update to begin rolling out for the carrier as the Galaxy S4 version became available earlier this week. Both software upgrades will be released in stages so it could take several weeks before they hit all Galaxy Nexus and S4 users.

The Galaxy S4 should receive both Android 4.3 and the new Samsung Premium Suite that includes new TouchWiz improvements and Galaxy Gear support.

The Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 will all receive Premium Suite software on Verizon when the carrier finally rolls out Android 4.3 later this year.

Samsung promises that the update will begin rolling out in the coming weeks. Premium Suite will feature several software improvements such as a new multi-window mode, mode support, advanced camera features and Samsung Knox.

Samsung says the updates should have begun yesterday, however, the company was not clear on which device would be the first to receive them.

The Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 update schedule for AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint leaked onto the internet last week.

The Galaxy S4 should start receiving the update on 10/28 on Verizon, 11/13 on AT&T, and 11/18 on T-Mobile. The Galaxy S3 will get it on Verizon starting on 11/22, AT&T on 11/13, Sprint on 11/6 and T-Mobile on 11/25.

Both of these devices will have the update before the end of December. The update is already available on other versions of the handset as Android 4.3, JellyBean started rolling out for the LTE international model last week.

The software brings many changes to the software including Knox, Galaxy Gear compatibility, improved performance with graphics, improved stability of user interface and security.
