Right off the bat, the Galaxy Note 7's most notable features are its size, design and the inclusion of the improved S-Pen. Furthermore, the Galaxy Note 7 is said to be water-resistant and capable of more storage than its predecessors and cousins. It has a 64GB internal memory along with the option for users to insert an SD card for more storage. This is where iPhone owners struggle because they don't really have the option of adding more storage beyond what their phone is capable of.

The Galaxy Note 7's unlocking features include the fingerprint scanner and the talk-of-the-town iris scanner. Time notes that the iris scanner actually works well even when the user has contact lens. It is unclear if it works for fashion lenses or colored contacts for that matter.

The Galaxy Note 7's huge screen is ideal for users who like a bigger display. This makes watching and streaming videos ideal because of its 2560x1440 AMOLED screen. With the S-Pen, scribblers might find it appealing to use the Galaxy Note 7 as well.

It is also worth noting that the Galaxy Note 7 has a larger battery and thus, it has a longer battery life compared to the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. It also supports wireless fast-charging. Wall Street Journal points out that the Note 7 also has a USB Type-C port which makes it very compatible with the revamped Samsung Gear VR.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Pre-orders

Some of those who have pre-ordered their Galaxy Note 7 may be able to get the phone on their hands a few days earlier than its official release date, BGR reported. Both carriers, Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile, had begun shipping the phablets since Monday. Those who pre-ordered had the option to choose between a 256GB microSD or Gear Fit 2 fitness tracker as a freebie.
