Galaxy S4 Android 4.3, JellyBean Update Begins Rolling for AT&T
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.3, JellyBean update has begun rolling out for AT&T customers.
The new software is available OTA over-the-air and is 719MB in size, according to a report from Android Authority.
The update will bring support for the new Galaxy Gear smartwatch, Samsung's Knox secure work environment, and a slew of under the hood improvements, such as support for OpenGL3.0, TRIM command, better RAM management, and enhancements to Samsung's proprietary apps.

The smartphone should also receive a slight speed boost thanks to some of the tweaks that have been applied with it.
The update will bring the firmware to build number JSS15J.1337UCUEMJ9 and can be downloaded through checking for software updates in the Settings menu. Android 4.3 has already rolled out for other major American carriers such as Sprint, Verizon and U.S. Cellular. T-Mobile is the only one who has not released it yet.
Android 4.3 was introduced alongside the new Nexus 7 tablet earlier this year.
The software is one of two major updates to be released in 2013 as Google also recently unveiled Android 4.4 KitKat which debuted with the Nexus 5 smartphone. Google needs to push out Android 4.3 in order to make handsets compatible with the Galaxy Gear and to prepare them to receive Android 4.4 in a timely fashion.
Android 4.4 KitKat was made to be a universal OS that can operate on most Android devices including those with only 512MB RAM. This means low-end older handsets will be able to update to the software.
Android 4.3 follows the older strategy and will function mostly on newer high-end models. KitKat will be used to even out the market and to bring every user to the same page.
