'Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage Baby News: Tyrion Lannister Actor Welcomes Second Child, Sets New Projects

"Game of Thrones" star Peter Dinklage, who plays the imp Tyrion Lannister, became a father for the second time. The actor recently welcomed his new baby with wife Erica Schmidt amid more blessings of new projects.

The birth details of Dinklage's new baby have not been revealed. The actor, who is notoriously private, also hasn't issued any statements about the pregnancy nor the arrival of the baby but reports stated that the couple went out in public in September with their newborn.

Dinklage and Schmidt have been married since 2005. The couple had their first daughter in 2011. This was the year that Dinklage won a Golden Globe award for "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and he spoke about his wife and first-born to the press then.

Meanwhile, Dinklage is set to produce a motorsport drama called "Driven" with Channing Tatum. It covers the failed buyout between Ford and Ferrari in the 1960s and the beginnings of the Porsche GT40's domination in the auto industry.

Dinklage is also a teaming up with his "Game of Thrones" TV dad Charles Dance (Tywinn Lannister) as executive producer of a show based on Quasimodo, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, from a novel by Victor Hugo. It's uncertain, however, if Dinklage or Dance will star in the series. Casting and production dates have not yet been announced as well.

The actor will also be in a TV movie with "Fifty Shades" star Jaime Dornan. "My Dinner with Herve" has a 2018 release schedule on HBO but the cable network has not announced a specific air date yet. The movie centers on actor Herve Villechaize's (Dinklage) life story.

Meanwhile, the actor is back on the set of with the rest of the cast of "Game of Thrones" for the eighth and final season. They went through script reading and rehearsals in the past weeks before filming officially begins.

HBO will likely air "Game of Thrones" season 8 around late 2018 or early 2019.
