'Game of Thrones' Season 5 News: Tyrion and Daenerys' First Meeting, Other Spoilers
With four more weeks before "Game of Thrones" Season 5 premieres on HBO, spoilers for the show have emerged to give fans something to anticipate.
"Game of Thrones" Season 5 will be coming to HBO on April 12, preceded by spoilers of the new season's episodes. The upcoming season will be based on fantasy author, George R.R. Martin's epic novels, "A Feast for Crows" and "A Dance with Dragons."
With limited material left from the fifth book, and the sixth book's release still under speculation, several spoilers have emerged for the new season as the show makes its way into more unchartered territory.
Even author Martin himself has revealed more characters will die off in Season 5 than is portrayed in the books.
The new poster released by HBO showing Tyrion at the bow of a ship staring at what appears to be a full-grown dragon, presumably black Drogon, which suggests Season 5 will feature Tyrion and Daenerys finally meeting. Whether they will turn out to be allies or enemies remains to be seen.
Based on the books, this may very well be the season the Mother of Dragons takes flight on Drogon's back to escape Mereen.
Brienne of Tarth is likely to come up with some life-changing realizations as shown from a teaser clip for Season 5 where she tells Squire Podrick Payne: "All I ever wanted was to fight for a lord I believed in. The good lords are dead and the rest are monsters."
After Prince Oberyn Martell's gruesome death under The Mountain's murderous thumbs last season, viewers will finally get to meet the vengeance-driven Sand Snakes – three of his deadly illegitimate daughters.
With speculations the now pitiful Theon Greyjoy will finally get a break, Ramsay Bolton's descent into something even more evil than he was in the previous season, Tyrion's journey into strange waters amidst pirates and stone men, a shocking storyline revolving around Myrcella Baratheon, and Cersei's naked walk of shame – a fall from power fans are anticipating, Season 5 promises to be even more bloody than ever.
