'Game of Thrones' Season 6: Jon Snow to Return from the Dead?
"Game of Thrones" fans were devastated when Jon Snow was killed off in the previous season, but now there are reports that their favorite character will return from the dead in season 6.
Rumor has it that actor Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow in "Game of Thrones," has been shooting battle scenes and heading an army in a fight. Talks about him being seen near the set of the show have made their rounds in the Internet, according to The Telegraph.
Toward the end of season 5, Snow appeared to be dead after the Night's Watch stabbed him for being a traitor during the Battle of Hardhome. Speculations immediately surfaced about his future comeback, and the chatters intensified when he was spotted on the show's set in Northern Ireland wearing his costume, The Independent reports.
In September, Harrington said something that made fans think that he is still participating in the series even though his character already died.
"Let's just say that 'Game of Throne's will remain a part of my life for a while," the Independent quotes Harrington. "I'll probably be in my thirties when it's over."
HBO further fanned the rumors by releasing a teaser photo showing Snow on the official Twitter account of "Game of Thrones." The image also bears the word "April," which is the expected premiere of season 6 next year. In the photo, Snow is alive but has blood coming out of one eye with his head bowed, the report details.
Exactly how Snow will return from the dead is still unknown, but there are speculations that sorceress Melisandre will use her Red Magic to make this possible. It can be remembered that followers of the Red God are capable of resurrecting the dead, the report explains.
Another theory says Snow could have taken after his brother Bran and now knows how to "warg." Before he was killed, he may have already transferred his consciousness into Ghost. This is unlikely but it is still possible, the report relays.
For now, "Game of Thrones" fans will have to stand by and wait for further updates and confirmation on Jon Snow's return. There is still no announced premiere date for season 6, but the show is expected to air again in April 2016.
