'Game of Thrones' season 6 news, cast, spoilers: 'Babadook' star Essie Davis joins season 6

Five seasons in and fans of the show "Game of Thrones" already know how hard it is to get any clue about the new actors joining each season. Although the plotlines are quite familiar due to the guide of the books, it's still important that the right people are cast for the roles in the epic novel adaptation.

For the new season, it seems harder for followers of the show to know which characters will the reported new cast members will be portraying, especially without the books. However, according to Screen Rant, the latest addition to the season 6 cast would be Australian actress Essie Davis, and even dropped a few details on what her role will be.

It's said that Davis will be playing "Cersei" in a parody production by an acting troupe. Richard E. Grant was recently also reported to be joining the cast, but his part is still unclear until now, even after it has been revealed he will be managing this acting troupe and will play King Robert Baratheon, opposite Davis. Although the name of Davis' role has not been shared yet, there is already a short description of what her character would be like. She is described to be "in her early 40s, she's an elegant actress with a traveling theater company. Fun, charismatic, rum-drinking actress in the troupe."

Davis' most notable performance would be in the movie "Babadook," a story about an evil spirit that lived within a storybook and was released once read. Davis played the mother of the challenged boy who found the book, and was later on possessed by the demon.

The scenes which Davis is set out to play along with other member of the acting troupe are said to take up three episodes and are also part of the new book, "The Winds of Winter," set to be released. Although many are aware that the series and the book are already set to go their one ways from here, it seems that the series is still maintaining strong ties with its source material, which many fans are pleased about.
