'Game Of Thrones' Season 6 News, Spoilers: Jon Snow Lives! Kit Harington Apologizes 'For Lying To Everyone'
Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is alive.
After spending the first episode of the current season of "Game of Thrones" as a corpse, Snow was brought back to life in the final moments of Sunday's episode, titled "Home."
While Harington and everyone else working on "Game of Thrones" spent the past year saying that Snow died in the season 5 finale, in which he was betrayed and stabbed by his Sworn Brothers of the Night's Watch and left for dead, avid fans have suspected all along that the fan favorite character couldn't possibly be gone for good.

True enough, in "Home," Melisandre (Carice van Houten), whose true appearance fans saw in the season 6 premiere, used her magic to revive Snow.
And after spending the last 10 months spewing lies and half-truths to hide the fact that Snow does not stay dead in the sixth season of "Game of Thrones," Harington offered fans an apology following the airing of "Home."
In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly, Harington said, "Sorry!"
"I'd like to say sorry for lying to everyone," the actor offered in a video clip. "I'm glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, 'Fine, Jon Snow's dead.' But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I'm doing — or the show is doing — is right."
In the interview, Harington also recounted the incredible mission of keeping the biggest "Game of Thrones" secret for almost a year. Whereas most actors only have to perform when they're in front of the camera, the "Game of Thrones" producers had asked Harington to put on a performance off the set as well. For almost a year, the "Game of Thrones" star had to act as though he had been booted off the popular HBO fantasy drama series. The ruse was so important that the actor had to lie about why he was spotted on the show's Belfast set and, in the weeks leading up to the season 6 premiere, had to tell, during several interviews, the bare-faced lie that Snow is really and truly dead.
Nevertheless, the off-camera acting seems to have been worth it, as the latest episode of "Game of Thrones" gave fans a surprise that, while not totally unexpected, was nonetheless a good one.
