'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers, Plot News: Famine in Meereen, Struggle Without Daenerys

The most recent news on season 6 of "Game of Thrones" revealed that Meereen will be going through a famine.

According to "Watchers on the Wall," the upcoming season of the hit series will present a lack of food in Meereen, while Daenerys, played by Emilia Clarke, is away. The information was obtained through a casting breakdown. It described a character as, "an emaciated street woman in her thirties, a painfully thin woman living in extreme poverty with a starving baby."

The character described will reportedly be present in a scene with a major character in the series. The scene will be filmed in Peniscola, Spain. It was reported that Peter Dinklage and Conleth Hill were seen dressed up as their characters in Peniscola, which is a hint that Tyrion might be the one to address the issue of a famine.

Meanwhile, fans are still waiting for the answer regarding Jon Snow's death. Star of the series Maisie Williams recently shared her opinion on the return of Jon Snow. She explained in an interview that Jon Snow is dead.

However, there have been reports showing that Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow, was spotted at the filming locations.

With that, it is interesting to see how the upcoming season plays out. Williams mentioned that she knows that are other story lines for the series that open several possibilities.

She explained, "I'm aware of the other storylines — we're given the full script at the beginning of each season so we can read ahead — I always flick through my story first, the suspense is too much. I have to see what I'm up to first and then what other people are up to but it's never the same as seeing on screen — it's nice to watch and get the full effect."

"Game of Thrones" season 6 will air sometime next year.
