'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers: Jon Snow Is Back
With its production currently in progress, a major spoiler for the upcoming season of HBO hit series "Game of Thrones" has been revealed.
A teaser for the upcoming season of "Game of Thrones" was revealed by HBO. The teaser featured Jon Snow in full costume, which means that he will be returning to the series.
It was revealed that Kit Harington, who takes on the role of Jon Snow, will be returning to the series. The previous season of "Game of Thrones" ended with Jon Snow being stabbed by his fellow Night Watchers. With that, there were speculations that the character will no longer be returning to the series.
However, previous spoilers have revealed Kit Harington was present on the filming of the set. This led fans to believing that Jon Snow will be back in the upcoming season. Now, HBO has finally confirmed the news of the character's return.
According to News Talk, Brian Fortune, who plays the role of Othell Yarwyck, spoke about the recent reveal. He explained that he was forced to keep details about Jon's fate a secret. He said, "Trying to keep that a secret was a bit like keeping secret that I really did murder somebody! I cracked and told my wife Polly… and that was the worst thing I could have possibly done. It was an absolute nightmare waiting for the episode to be screened."
There are now many speculations on how he will be revived for the episodes to come. One popular theory is that Melisandre, played by Carice van Houten, will be using magic to bring him back to life. An evidence of this theory was revealed when van Houten was seen filming for season 6.
While there has yet to be any news on when the series will return, "Game of Thrones" season 6 is expected to premiere by April 24, 2016.
