'Game Of Thrones' Season 8 Plot Rumors: Huge Castle in Belfast Filming Location Hints at Epic Battle Scene
Fan sites have recently shared that the production team of HBO's "Game of Thrones" is already at work. In fact, a number of reports mentioned that a huge castle was spotted being built in the show's Belfast filming location. This also suggests which locations fans will be seeing in the upcoming season.
The blog Los Siete Reinos recently shared images of a fake castle being built in the said filming site. While castles have been a staple element in "Game of Thrones" since its first season, the reports are thrilled about the pictured castle because it appears to be a much bigger version of what the production team has built for the earlier years of the show.
The site Winteriscoming.net also commented that the said castle was "an uncommonly large one" and might appear in the show as a facade of one of the fictional locations in the world of George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire."
However, both websites were not certain which location the castle would represent in the show but the possible ones are The Red Keep in King's Landing, Storm's End in Dragonstone, Moat Cailin in the North, or Casterly Rock.
Based on the photos, the building of the castle is in its early stages as no decorations have been put up yet.
Meanwhile, the site Watchers on the Wall suggested that the production team was probably building a much larger castle location in preparation for some upcoming "significant action" and even a "battle sequence" -- which is very likely to happen in season 8.
In other related reports, "Game of Thrones" star Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, has recently shared what he has in mind on how his character would react once it is revealed that Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) is his aunt.
"I really hope that he just nods slowly and goes, 'D***** right'," he told The Guardian. The actor jokingly added that it would be "horribly inappropriate" and would signify that the beloved Jon Snow "had a really sick mind the whole time."
Though his idea sounds unlikely to be in the scripts, the actor promised: "I'll try it for one take, anyway."
HBO has yet to confirm when "Game of Thrones" season 8 will premiere, but recently, several factors hint that it will not happen until 2019.
