'Game of Thrones' Season 8 Spoilers: Edd Lives! Ben Crompton Teases Brilliant Final Season

The current leader of the Night's Watch is alive in "Game of Thrones" season 8. Fans should breathe a sigh of relief since Ben Crompton, who plays Dolorous Edd, confirms he's still on the show and knows what will happen in the final year.

Crompton's character was last seen on his post in Castle Black during the seventh season finale of "Game of Thrones." Not far off, however, the White Walkers attacked the Eastwatch using Viserion the ice dragon, which caused the Wall to finally crumble.

Fans worried for the safety of the Night's Watch. Crompton, however, reminded viewers that his character is still safe and alive in Castle Black.

The actor was also in the recent table read with the rest of the cast in early October. He clued fans in on what he knows so far. Will Edd and Jon Snow reunite in "Game of Thrones" season 8?

"I can just tell you it's brilliant – honestly there's a couple of things there that are like nothing else that's been seen on telly," Crompton teased about what's to come in the final season. Kit Harington (Jon Snow) earlier revealed that the same table read made him cry because saying their last goodbyes to the show and the cast is becoming closer and closer.

Meanwhile, fans who have become experts of "Game of Throne" predict that Jon Snow will live while Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) will die in the series finale. Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) could end up ruling the North while Jon Snow will fortify the South and the main hub of Westeros in King's Landing.

One "Game of Thrones" star, however, is looking forward to the show's end. Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) said she's excited for what's next for her after doing a show for eight long years. Williams was only 14 when she debuted in "Game of Thrones." Now at 20, she's raring to do other projects and expand her craft.

"Game of Thrones" season 8 is expected to begin airing on HBO in late 2018 or early 2019.
