'Game of Thrones' Season 8 Spoilers: Two New Characters To Be Introduced Next Season
The producers of "Game of Thrones" are on the lookout for actors who will portray the role of two new characters for the show's eighth and final season.
According to the "Game of Thrones" dedicated fan site Watchers on the Wall, HBO is now busy looking for the best actors to fit the new roles.
The report claimed that one of the roles will be for an eight to 10-year-old "Northern Girl." The description revealed that the character will be a straight-talking girl with a heavy Northern accent who will be known for honesty and integrity. She also reportedly possesses a fearless nature after being brought up by a family composed of soldiers. The producers are reportedly planning to fill up the role as fast as they can since the character will be included in the scenes that will be shot on Nov. 17.
The other role is reportedly intended for a boy with the same age as the Northern Girl. But the young male character must have a "physically fit and angle look" with a striking face. The role is also described to have come from a poor family. The young boy will have to begin filming sometime in the last week of November until early December.
While there are no details yet about the identity of the two new characters for the upcoming season, speculations claimed that the female character could possibly be the younger sister of Lyanna Mormont named Jorelle based on the books written by George R.R. Martin.
Meanwhile, another casting news may have confirmed a character's death before the start of "Game of Thrones" season 8.
According to Express UK, actor Brendan Cowell has been included in the cast of a new BBC drama called "Press."
The actor portrays the role of a character named Harrag in the HBO adaptation of Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels. He was last seen being beaten by Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) in the season 7 finale of "Game of Thrones," but his fate was not revealed after the bloody confrontation.
Speculations claimed that Cowell's involvement on "Press" could mean that Harrag is already dead, since the actor might have to spend more time on the set of the new series.
HBO has yet to announce the return date of "Game of Thrones" season 8.
