Gameplay Videos for 'Dissidia: Final Fantasy' Arcade Released (VIDEO)
Square Enix has released two new gameplay clips for its fighting role playing game, "Dissidia: Final Fantasy" arcade, showcasing the game's fast-paced action.
Square Enix undertook its initial location test for its upcoming action role playing arcade game, "Dissidia: Final Fantasy," releasing two live play demos of the Team Ninja title.
The arcade version plays similarly to Sony's PlayStation consoles, with each character given two types of standard attack modes: HP attacks and Ex skills. A crystal button glowing between two joystick-like controllers allow players to summon a creature. Players will also be able to play three versus three characters per team.

The arcade game is the result of a team up between developer Square Enix and Team Ninja parent company, Tecmo Koei, with Sony Computer Entertainment having some involvement in the game's release.
According to IGN, Atsushi Morita, Sony's president has said "Dissidia: Final Fantasy" has been developed using a core technology system unique to the "PlayStation 4," and fans will be able to enjoy the game exclusively in arcades for a year or so before it makes its debut on PlayStation 4 consoles.
Instead of being a continuation of the storyline from the previous Dissidia games, the latest being "Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy" released in March 2011, the fighting arcade game will be a reboot of the series.
The game will feature an initial 14 characters, and players will encounter old favorites like Lightning and Cloud Strife, as well as newer characters like Ramza Beoulve and Y'Shtola. Square Enix will be providing additional DLC in the future to increase the roster of characters up to 50.
According to the developer, "Dissidia: Final Fanasy" arcade will be launched in Japan in the third quarter of this year, with no word yet on a Western release date.
