GameStop Will Let Gamers Rent Out Unlimited Pre-Owned Games in New Rental Service Program

GameStop, among others, has been known to be one of the most reliable sources of the newest game updates and news. Recent reports have revealed that the company is banking on their reputation as they have launched a new service that will allow gamers to rent an unlimited number of pre-owned games, experience what it has to offer, return it, and rent out another title. The rental service program has been confirmed by GameStop, and here is everything to know about it.

The first thing to note about the GameStop unlimited rental service is that it comes with a subscription of $60 for a six-month plan, in which gamers can rent out as many games as they can. Although they can only take out one pre-owned game at a time, another bonus of the program is that the fans can keep the last title they rented out once the subscription has ended. Furthermore, they can also swap the games for no additional cost other than the initial $60 for the subscription.

Further reports also reveal that aside from the $60 subscription, fans can only join if they are a member of GameStop's PowerUp Rewards program. Although there is a version of it that is paid either for $14.99 or $29.99, GameStop has said that a free account makes fans automatically eligible for the rental service. Thus, all they have to do is to create an account and pay for the subscription on the rental service.

The rental service from GameStop is known as the PowerPass, and sign-ups will begin on Nov. 19. Furthermore, the subscription for the service can be bought as a gift to the fans' family members and friends for as long as they are a PowerUp Rewards member. More details are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
