'Garo: Vanishing Line' Episode 2 Spoilers: Is a New Ally Joining the Team in 'Luke'?

The most unlikely duo has come together in defense of Russell City on the original Japanese action anime series, "Garo: Vanishing Line." But will Sword and Sophie's teamwork be enough to discover the mysteries behind the sudden infestation of otherworldly demons in the city?

A new battle for the world's survival has begun, and at the core of it are two individuals looking for the answer to a single, potential life-changing question: what is El Dorado?

The mysterious words were the only clue left of Sophie's missing brother, and the girl believes that getting to the bottom of these words will ultimately lead her to her brother's whereabouts. On the other hand, Sword's work also seems to involve discovering the truth behind the said words, and they also seem to be the answer to finally ridding the city of the otherworldly demons known as Horrors that are suddenly infesting it.

With Sophie's determination and Sword's legendary Makai Knight armor, the two of them will now have to work together to achieve their individual goals, which could quite possibly be related to each other.

What does Sophie's missing brother have to do with El Dorado? Could his disappearance be related to the subsequent appearance of the Horrors in Russell City?

The preview for the next episode, simply titled "Luke," does not offer any answer to these questions. It does, however, introduce a guy who could potentially be Sword and Sophie's new ally.

Crunchyroll describes the character Luke as someone who is dubbed as "rain man" because he always brings forth rain wherever he goes. He is also calm, centered, and reserved, but Sword has a way of putting him off his stride.

"Garo: Vanishing Line" airs on Fridays late night at 1:23 a.m. JST on TV Tokyo and late night at 2:10 a.m. JST on TV Osaka. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes will also be simulcast in selected regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
