'General Hospital' Spoilers, Cast News: Jake Rejects the Life Jason Morgan Led
The inevitable finally happened in the last week of "General Hospital," as the big reveal of Jake Doe's real identity was witnessed by viewers. However, as many expected, this was only the beginning of the domino effect that truth will bring upon the lives of the mob families.
According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, there might initially be more good than bad in this revelation as many people will be shown more willingness to accept Jake as Jason once more into their lives. First would be Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) who had trusted Jake despite his vague past. It is said that her acceptance for Jake will not change anytime soon and will only make much more sense now that she knows it's been Jason all along.
Two women that would more likely do their best to get Jason back where he really belongs are Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). Jake had already felt an unexplained attraction to the Quartermaines, and finally with his real identity surfacing, it finally clicked.
However, it's definitely not all smooth sailing, as the number 1 person who will be less than pleased about this revelation is Sonny Corinthos. Despite Jake saving his life and his gut feelings about him being affirmed, Sonny's relationship with Jake will become rocky when he realizes that Jake does not want to take up the life Jason had left in the mob. In reality, Jake absolutely hates knowing that he has the killer skills Jason possessed.
His amnesia will impose most problems to the women he — and as Jason — is romantically involved with. Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco), who was Jason's wife, will more likely drop the current relationship she has now that the truth is out, while Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) may lose Jake over the situation if the memories ever come flooding back. It is said that Jake may not quickly go to Sam, but it doesn't mean he will continue staying with Liz. Instead, he may take some time for himself to figure things out before continuing any relationships.
For now, fans are staying tuned to the events that can occur in "General Hospital" as it airs weekdays on ABC.
