'General Hospital' Spoilers: Who Is Paul Hornsby's Bigger Criminal Boss?
The return of Paul Hornsby (Richard Burg) to Port Charles definitely didn't go unnoticed, as it was immediately triggered by the shooting of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard). However, although as of the moment, it may seem that Paul is the new big bad in town, it's still probably not what it looks like. From some scenes that viewers have witnessed, it's been confirmed that Paul is working for a bigger boss and he is just likely setting things up for his/her arrival.
There are already a number of suspected people who Paul could be answering to. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, one common factor among the suspects is that they will all be favoring the Jerome syndicate. It's no wonder that the first of the potential bosses would be Ava Jerome (Maura West), who has recently taken over the Jerome mob.
Aside from expanding the business and considering her history with Sonny, it would make sense that Ava's motivation may go beyond business matters. Julian (William DeVry), Ava's brother, has already been assisting Paul in some way through media influence favoring the Jeromes, while throwing the Corinthos under the bus.

Furthermore, it seems that a new help will be coming along. Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) will apparently be taking charge of setting up the money-laundering scheme for the Jerome syndicate, which will put the Quartermaine Corporation at risk.
Mayor Janice Loma (Saida Ekulona) will also enter the scene once again, and looking at what she's capable of, it won't be a surprise to anyone if she is the brains behind it all. It would make sense since she has the power to put Paul in the DA job that he is in right now, as well as having the power to control of the police and prosecution process whenever the Jeromes are put on incriminating positions.
One the most intriguing suspected bosses could be Valentin Cassadine. Valentin's name has been going around and is said to be the top of Bad Cassadines list. His father is Mikos Cassadine and his mother is still unknown. However if it is Valentin, it may take a few months before everything may be revealed, as there will still be a lot for Paul to do.
