Chapman and Weinstein got married in December 2007.

The Marchesa co-founder said: "My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time."

Chapman's statement came just a day after Weinstein claimed his wife was "100 percent behind me" and that they "have talked about this at length."

Last week, several women who are or have been in the entertainment business spoke out to reveal how they suffered various forms of sexual harassment in the hands of Weinstein.

The first report came from the New York Times, where Ashley Judd revealed that back when she was still starting out as an actress -- two decades ago -- she worked on a film in which Weinstein was also attached.

Judd recounted that Weinstein invited her to his hotel suite in the Peninsula Beverly Hills to discuss the movie. However, as she arrived in the room, he was reportedly in his bathrobe and offered to give her a massage. It was either that or watch him taking a shower.

Since then, more actresses have come forward -- including Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie -- to show support for the victims and to share how they suffered the same abuse from Weinstein back when they were just establishing their acting careers.

About a week after the sexual abuse allegations came out, the Weinstein Company fired its co-founder due to his "misconduct."

Meanwhile, more personalities have called out Weinstein, including Barack and Michelle Obama, Meryl Streep, Viola Davis, George Clooney, and Hillary Clinton, who Weinstein  supported financially during her political campaigns.
