'Ghost of Tsushima' News: On Sucker Punch Productions' Newest Game Title for PS4
The year of 2017 has been generous to the gaming community. The consistent releases of the developers and the publishers were a pleasant surprise from the fans, and seems that game developer Sucker Punch Productions is not about to disappoint their fans. During Paris Games Week 2017, Sucker Punch has announced "Ghost of Tsushima," which was a pleasant surprise considering the last time that the developers made it to the headlines was during the "Infamous" downloadable content (DLC).
The reveal of "Ghost of Tsushima" came in the form of a cinematic trailer, which was unveiled during the event. It is an open-world video game, and according to the synopsis of the game title, it will be set in the year 1274. It is expected to pivot around the Mongol invasion in Japan, which eliminated the traditional defenders of the country, known as the samurais. The players will take on the role of the lone samurai survivor, who must master the way of the Ghost, wage an unconventional war, and gain the freedom of Japan from the invaders.
Aside from the plot and the trailer, little is known about Sucker Punch's "Ghost of Tshushima." However, the developers have also announced that it is set to be released for Sony's PlayStation 4 (PS4). Unfortunately, the developers did not announce an official release date for the highly anticipated game title. Regardless, fans were thrilled to hear the news that they are back in the market with a new game title.
While waiting for further details on "Ghost of Tsushima," fans can get a general idea of how Sucker Punch works through their previous titles, "Sly Cooper" and "Infamous." The latter also received a prequel, titled "Infamous: Second Son." Furthermore, the trailer for "Ghost of Tsushima" should help tide over the wait, especially for those who have been waiting a long time for Sucker Punch to develop a new game title to enjoy.
