'Ghost Recon Wildlands' Guide, Tips and Tricks: How to Effectively Battle Drug Cartels

In "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands," or simply "Ghost Recon Wildlands," the main objective is to do the world a favor by taking on the drug cartels.

Just days after the worldwide release of "Ghost Recon Wildlands," reports have already compiled several helpful tips on how to start strong and tackle drug cartels effectively in the game.

Choose a vehicle that fits the terrain

The game is set in a mountainous area and the terrain can be a bit tricky. However, to overcome unnecessary hardships, it is wise to use a vehicle that works perfectly on a particular type of land. In "Ghost Recon Wildlands," there are several vehicles to choose from.

Regular vehicles like cars, trucks, and sports utility vehicles best work in the Itacua map since players will not be required to go off the road frequently compared to other maps. In other areas where going off-road is the relatively safe way to go, players should pick up dirtbikes.

For more tricky terrains such as in Santa Blanca and UNIDAD, Ubisoft Paris has prepared vehicles specific for them. On the other hand, taking the higher ground and using vehicles that fly is always the best way to go on a mission.

Take time to complete side missions

Like in most games, players will have the option to finish side missions in "Ghost Recon Wildlands." However, in this game, skipping them would be a mistake because completing them entitle players to cool privileges such as getting backup support and gathering a large amount of supplies.

Prioritize drone upgrades

While at the beginning, players will quickly have several options to upgrade weapons, abilities, skills, vehicles and more, the best things to upgrade first are the drones.

Like in a real-life war situation, anything that gives players the vantage point is a treasure, and drones do just that without the actual need of being mobile. Upgraded drones get a better range and longer-lasting batteries.

Explore locations before actually going into war

Once players get to a new region, they will have the chance to explore the areas within that new level. It's a good idea to get to know the locations first before going in for the kill. This way, players will get the advantage of learning their way around and planning the most effective way to take out the cartels.

"Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands" was released worldwide last March 7 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
