Will New Season of 'Gilmore Girls' Be About Rory's Road to Redemption?
Rory (Alexis Bledel) may have a chance to turn her life around and make everything right in the second part of "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life."
Many fans are tickled pink by the news that Netflix and the show's creators have had preliminary talks on a possible new installment. Netflix's chief content officer, Ted Sarandos, has recently revealed during UK's Press Association (via Deadline) that they have been talking to the Palladinos on creating new episodes and continuing Rory and Lorelai's (Lauren Graham) story. Previously, many viewers expressed their dissatisfaction on how the revival ended. Rory was pregnant and the father of her child remained unknown.
"We hope. We obviously loved the success of the show, fans loved how well it was done, it delivered what they hoped. The worst thing is to wait a couple of years for your favorite show to come back and for it to disappoint you, but they sure delivered and people were really excited about more, and we have been talking to them about the possibility of that," Sarandos said.

According to Bustle, a new season will give Rory the opportunity to make things right. When it was revealed that her journey basically mirrored what happened to her mother, only several years later, many fans were upset. In her 30s, Rory stands to become a single mother.
For some viewers, all the building up that the showrunners did from Day 1 that pointed to Rory being meant for greater things seems to have gone down the drain. She became another woman in a relationship which she should have had the grace to walk away from. She lost her drive and was basically unemployed.
If the Palladinos decide to write more episodes for the series, the fans are vocal with their request to have some redemption for Rory. Her baby's father is also expected to be revealed, whether is Logan (Matt Czuchry) or her last boyfriend, Paul (Jack Carpenter).
