Gionee S11 Specs, Release Date: Device Shows Off Taller Display, Four Cameras in TENAA Visit
Gionee is not wasting any time and is immediately following up its recently unveiled M7 Power with another bezel-less smartphone offering believed to be the Gionee S11.
The smartphone recently got the approval of the Chinese certification agency TENAA, where it showed some of its key specs and design.
Per the listing, the Gionee S11 comes with a 6.01-inch active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) display with 1,080 x 2,160 pixel resolution. According to GSM Arena, it likely uses the same FullVision panel found on the M7 Power, which means this too, will come with a tall 18:9 aspect ratio.

The photos on TENAA show the Gionee S11 in black with the side bezels very thin. The top bezels house the two cameras on the front of the device, which are listed to be the 20 megapixels and 8 MP — the same pair its predecessor from May of this year had.
The similarities extend to the back of the device, where another dual camera setup is located, this time consisting of the 16 MP and 8 MP snappers.
Under the hood, the Gionee S11 houses a 2.5GHz octa-core chipset that is bolstered by 6 GB of random-access memory (RAM). This is 2 GB more than that of the previous generation, which should make for a significant spike in performance.
There will be 64 GB of storage for users to take advantage of in the new Gionee S-series offering with the Android 7.1.1 Nougat running the show out of the box.
A second version of the Gionee S11 has popped up on GFX Bench not too long ago too. This one has a 4 MP front camera and a quad-core MediaTek MT6763 processor.
There is no information yet on when users will see the Gionee S11 in the flesh, but its TENAA visit means it is not far behind.
