'Girl Meets World' Season 2 Cast News: August Maturo Says 'Best Episodes' Yet to Come
Anyone who was a teenager in the 1990s would've grown up a fan, or must have seen at least one episode, or is aware of "Boy Meets World," which was a show that followed the story of Cory Matthew (Ben Savage) as he dealt with issues of growing up during that time. It ran for seven years and aired its final episode in 2000. When a reboot of the show was announced by Disney called "Girl Meets World," which follows the story of the teenage daughter of Cory and Topanga (Danielle Fischer), Cory's childhood sweetheart, it's safe to say a lot of adults were probably a little more excited than the kids, knowing the history of it.
The main star of the series is Riley (Rowan Blanchard); however, she does have a younger brother in the show, Auggie Matthews. His goofy personality has captured the attention of many during the many scenes he's shared with Riley. Despite their many exciting adventures, August Maturo, who plays Auggie, shared that more can be expected in the last five episodes of the season. According to International Business Times, he shared, "Fans can expect lots of laughing, crying, feelings and amazing acting from the whole cast. Our best episodes haven't even aired yet!"
He also talked about how it was like working with Savage and Fischer, he excitedly said, "They were on 'Boy Meets World,' now they're on 'Girl Meets World,' they're the most famous people on Earth." As for playing Rowan's brother, he says it apparently goes beyond the screen, "I love Rowan, she hugs and kisses me so much, we're really like sister and brother."
Maturo seems happy to be part of the show. He talks about how he enjoys every little time he spends on production and what he likes best. "My favorite part is listening to what I can do, knowing my lines while learning and listening to everything that I hear. We play sometimes and we do pranks and have fun and we get to see who the new director is every time and it's very fun with us."
"Girl Meets World" is currently in its second season and airs every Friday on Disney Channel.
